Districts across Texas are joining the campaign to Celebrate Texas Public Schools. Our public schools bring top quality education to more than 4 million students. Talented teachers and caring staff members and administrators set a strong foundation for this success, which is truly something worth celebrating.
Members of the Celebrate Texas Public Schools campaign make a commitment to support our schools and showcase the many wonderful achievements students, teachers and staff members accomplish each day.
Since October, TSPRA has been sharing positive public school statistics on social media. Ten school districts across the state of Texas were selected to create #PowerofPublic promotional videos leading up to CTPS week (see links below). Many of you have retweeted and shared this information on your school district and personal social media accounts. I encourage all of you to take a look at the social media posts and retweet them.
At the February TSPRA conference we will have available #PowerofPublic t-shirts for all of your superintendents, thanks to Randolph Brooks Credit Union. Members are encouraged to pick one up for their superintendent and invite him or her to proudly wear it on March 2. Let’s fill social media with photos of superintendents across Texas supporting our schools with the official hashtag #PowerofPublic.
