PR Tips from NSPRA

Look for ways to create opportunities for constituents to meet students and teachers and learn more about your district.

Take a student with you to attend a civic group luncheon meeting and give a short presenation on something happening in school. Ask a newspaper or TV reporter to speak to a class about his or her job. Invite an elected official to have lunch with a small group of students and teachers to discuss new programs, student achievement or academic rigor.

Personal interaction is the most effective form of communication. Take advantage of the people in your district to tell its stories.
