GOOD TO KNOW
Make your online content easier to read by following these simple tips:
Keep it short. Smaller words and shorter sentences get the message across better. Readers drop out of sentences more than 17 words long. Don't be afraid to mix it up with a polysyllabic vocabulary and compound-complex sentences, but keep the bulk of your message brief.
Edit edit edit. You may have crammed all the necessary information into your first draft, but chances are you also filled in the gaps with district jargon and complex clauses. Tweak your copy until everyone in your audience can understand it.
