Accredited in Public Relations
The purpose of accreditation is to unify and advance the profession by
identifying those who have demonstrated broad knowledge, experience and
professional judgment in the field of public relations. The accreditation program seeks to improve the practice of public
relations. Accredited members carry the designation "Accredited in Public
Relations" (APR), signifying a high professional level of experience
and competence.
Accreditation is a voluntary certification program for public relations professionals, administered by the Universal Accreditation Board and the Public Relations Society of America. To become Accredited, members must advance from a Readiness Review and pass a written exam. |
