Legal Workshops TSPRA offers legal workshops geared to school public relations professionals and public school foundations staff and board members in matters including: • Employment law • Privacy law • Employment benefits & Contracts • The Texas Open Meetings Act • School bonds and public finance • The Texas Public Information Act • Board issues • Student discipline and student rights • Special education law • Religion in the school Currently TSPRA is offering two workshops, both in Austin: a half-day workshop on school bond elections on Nov. 5, and a full-day workshop on school public relations issues, which is coupled with a pre-legislative orientation on Nov. 6.
